Salut Christian!

I only have the first volume of JG 2 History by Eric Monbeeck. Maybe there is something about this particular pilot on the other volumes (2 to 5 or 6). You cant try to contact him directly, either via his own site or down here.

Maybe he do have a photo or other data.

A.

Hello Adriano - It is good to see us again. Yes, I thought about contacting Eric. I'm also working on a Beaufighter shot down on the night of August 15, 1943 (by whom, we don't know?), Which is the same night as W / Cdr Gomm!

Christian: the Beaufighter has been mentioned before on 12 OCH and gets a mention in my book on the Do 217 as it, and others around that night, delayed take off for an attack on Portsmouth by KG 2

Re: Unteroffizier Richard Lüdemann of 12./JG 2

Hello Chris, Thank you for this information.
What is the title of your book on Do 217 where you talk about this Beaufighter of 141 Squadron who fell in Normandy on the night of August 15, 1943? The pilot Richard Lüdemann of 12./JG2, of which I am also looking for information, was killed on June 29, 1943 in Normandy.
I am trying to contact his family to complete the story of this day. Thanks Chris. I see you are helping a lot of people.
You are perfect.

Christian: Yes it was the loss of that Beaufighter and if you search 12 OCH with the names of the crew, you will find more. As to who shot the Beaufighter down, I can find no German claims
