Mistaken Identity? 19 September 1941 During the day a Beaufort of 86 Squadron fought a Ju 88. Sergeant Mansfield brought his badly damaged bomber home with one wounded crewman aboard. Casualties 19th September 1941 - Royal Air Force. 86 Sqn - Beaufort -BX-J. Cat B by Ju 88. Sgt Mansfield and crew safe, one injured. See: Air War 1941 The Non-Stop Offensive - Part Two.
