On a Roll of Honour the following appear their rank is shown as Aviere were they pilots ?,if so are there any details of their aircraft please;- Amilcare Artoli of 2nd.Gr on 12-5-1944, Giuseppe Corbi 2nd Gr. on 12-5-1944, Vincenzo Picazzi 1st. Gr 16-6-1944, Egido Moretti 3rd. Gr 21-7-1944, Sllvio Aldrovandi 2nd. Gr 18-11-1944 and Giprgio Lacciarini 3rd. Gr 23-2-1945.
On 2-4-45 a Ten Aristide Sarti lost his life in combat there is also a mention of a Ten. Giuseppe Sarti on the same day Is this the same pilot,

Aviere is the lowest rank and usually means someone working on the ground and not on board of any aircraft. Such losses may have been of personnel due to strafings, bombardments or even clashes with Partisans...

Concerning Ten. Aristide Sarti (such is the correct name and rank) he is one of the losses of 2° Gruppo Caccia during the dogfight of April 2, 1945. The other "Giuseppe" is either a wrongly reported name or a coincidence, but not a pilot and not a loss in aerial combat.

Many thanks for the answer I did not know what the lowest pilot ran for the Italian Air forces was , whether it was Sergeant like the RAF or even Flieger like the Luftwaffe,

A better RAF equivalent for Aviere will be the rank of Aircraftman.

The casualty on the 18/11/44 was probably during the bombing of Aviano airfield (base of II° Gpo) by the 15th AF.

If the honor roll you are talking about is the fascist honor roll of the 'Elenco caduti' website, take care that not all these casualties died.

The 6th column of the table means the fate of the casualty:
C = caduti (fallen)
F = feriti (wounded)
D = ... (didn't remember, means missing)

The two casualties on 12 May 1944, the one on 16 June, the one on 18 November have for casualty code 'B', I don't know what it means.
The casualty on 23 February 1945 has a code 'M', I don't know what it means either.

On 21 July 1944, 1^Av Egido Moretti of 3° Gpo.Ct died on Cervere airfield. In fact this Gruppo wasn't formed before August but Cervere was the base of the Gruppo Complementare Caccia (a training unit) that was renamed III] Gruppo Caccia on 11 August. So Moretii was probably a member of this unit.

D is for "Disperso" = Missing.

The other "codes" are of difficult interpretation because the letters used seems to deal also with the way of death and with the status of the victim (no clear glossary is supplied in the listing which - at any rate - is in no way an official one.)
