Blenheim bombers in a raid on 3 August 1940

Hello,

On 3 August 1940, 16 Blenheim bombers raided "occupied countries" with 6 dropping bombs. One likely hitting Schiphol in Amsterdam. Can anyone help with which units were involved, possibly even idenifying the individual aircraft/crew raiding Schiphol? Thanks!
/Mike

Re: Blenheim bombers in a raid on 3 August 1940

Abbeville 1 Blenheim 114 Sqn T/O 08:40 Landed 12:50 hrs
Abbeville 1 Blenheim 139 Sqn 06:15 - 10:13
Airfields 0/2 Blenheim 114 Sqn
Airfields 0/4 Blenheim 139 Sqn 06:07-10:45 (L9239 lost over France)
Antwerp 0/1 Blenheim 107 Sqn 06:25-08:45 (Target Z.82)
Cherbourg 0/1 Blenheim 114 Sqn 09:00-13:00
Évère 0/1 Blenheim 107 Sqn 06:25-08:45 (Target Z.83)
Haamstede 0/1 Blenheim 107 Sqn 06:25-08:45 (Target Z.67)
Haamstede 1 Blenheim 114 Sqn 09:15-11:00
Haamstede 1 Blenheim 139 Sqn 06:04-07:46 Bombed alternative target
Leeuwarden 0/1 Blenheim 107 Sqn 06:25-08:45 (Target Z.52)
Schiphol 1 Blenheim 107 Sqn 06:25-08:45 Bombed 07:47 hrs (Target Z.57)
Soesterberg 0/1 Blenheim 107 Sqn 06:25-08:45 (Target Z.53)
St Omer 1 Blenheim 114 Sqn 09:30-11:40 Bombed alternative target

0/1 = an aircraft that took off but returned early or could not find a target to bomb

Therefore the most likely a/c belonged to 107 Sqn - S/L GLB Hull in Blenheim T1883 - hits registered on the hangars
However the 114 Sqn and 139 Sqn ORBs are horrible in this period. Two a/c bombed alternatives but I do not have to hand where they dropped

Regards

Martin

Awesome Martin, much appreciated! :-) There's some photos around that confirm hits on the Hangars and some other damage.
