reviving a very old thread..
In my data base (thanks matti! ) I have the information that he was killed at 11h15 on 27 Apr 1944 when his FW190 collided at take off with another aircraft ("Beim Start ein anderes Flugzeug gerammt. Bruch 100 %."). He was then 1./JGr. West. A stupid death, for an experimented pilot.. GC
