Re: C-47 Crash in 1953 in France
AAIR has that the C-47 was of the 7559th Maintenance Group, RAF Burtonwood. Name of pilot Leo Foreman.
Also Mantet mentioned as location on baaa-acro.com. Flew into mountain at 2.770 m. A Dutch newspaper reported that the C-47 was on its way from Burtonwood to Barcelona and was found on the slopes of Noelos mountain. Leendert Last edited by Leendert; 17th October 2023 at 11:14. |
