Re: C-47 Crash in 1953 in France
Found a little more in the Belgian 'Le Soir' newspaper of 29 Sep 1953. Here's talk of the Nyer region and that the C-47 hit the Pic de la Combeille mountain.
Civilians from the village of Olette had set up a search party. Aircraft exploded on impact and crew was found partially 'carbonisés'. Leendert
