Re: Information about engine number 37394
Hi,
The engine number 37394 indicates that the engine was a DB605 A-1, built by Henschel-Flugmotorenbau in Kassel. There is no direct connection of the engine number to the Werknummer of specific Bf109G in which that engine was installed. There were quite a few losses on the 30.01.44 over Holland, so a more precise crash location would help in the effort to identify the aircraft. |
