Pirate attacks did not start for another year so guess it would have been standard camouflage. Whether this aircraft was toned down for night ops is another matter

I have no record of any Do 217 E in such a WNr range. When M Griehl published his
Do 217 book he did not include anything close either.

What WNr range did 0326 belong to?

So I thought

To avoid having the "scribe" making a double fault I have filed this loss under WNr 5326.

It seems KG 40 was especially prone to report odd WNr in their loss reports.
