Smithy is on a distinguished road
Ju-87R-2 (Werk.Nr 5895)

Hi and Happy New Year,

I am asking this for a friend. He is after the exact tail number for this airframe (T6+?T) and the names of the crew.

He found info that it belonged to 9/Stg.2 and was shot down by AA fire on 19 September 1941 near Leningrad with the crew surviving. The wreckage was found last spring.

Any help and I know my friend will be exceedingly grateful.

Thanks,

Tim
