Yes, I know he is from 1940. I found a namesake who passed away, but am not sure if this is the same person or the author though.
F/O Larry Toft, DFM communicated with me via e-mail until he was 92 or 93, I guess...When I met him he was 93 years old and still driving. A Breed of men Mankind will see no more, sadly. Hope to find Peter Charles Smith's address and be able to write him. All the best
