No, it's NOT around the time of the Battle of Britain, it is about the Battle of Britain. 'Eagle Days' refers to 13th August and subsequent days, weeks months; the sub title quite clearly states: '...Life and death for the Luftwaffe IN the Battle of Britain...' Not around, or anything else. IN!

Jeez, people still making excuses...

Hi John - all I said is that is how I would describe the book. I’m stepping away from this now and won’t be posting in here again.

Re: Eagle Days: Life and Death for the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain

To John and others,

There are only two things that keep a publisher in business: producing high quality work and continuing to produce high quality work. I know this first-hand.

No one should defend this book. No one. Why do people spend a lot of money to buy books published by JaPo, for example?

An author who ignores historical facts cannot be taken seriously. I know of another such author. She also got things wrong, corrections were posted and other relevant books were mentioned as a corrective to her's. Apparently, this did not stop with that one book. She gained additional "recognition," and for what?

Credentials means you get it right. Once you do that then it's a job well done. Calling it harassing is also wrong in this case. Finally, the publisher needs to maintain its reputation. Once tarnished, it will be hard to regain trust.
