I guess their were no clear cut case about the Knight's Cross for German fighter pilots. It is been over two years since the last answer that I got.

It would be interesting to know what German ace that is on the non-Knight's Cross list had joined the Bundeswehr or maybe the French Foreign Legion.

Kurt Olsen was born 23.08.1915

Kurt Olsen may have continue flying and scoring after he was wounded after scoring 54 air to air victories.

No, Lt. Kurt Olsen scored probably no victories after 21.9.44 when he bailed out wounded. He did return to IV./JG 54 but not in time to start flying missions before IV./JG 54 became II./JG 7 in February 1945. He retrained on Me 262 but did not fly operations again until late April 1945. His last known claim was on 24.8.1944 (his 54.)
