As the author, well-known Russian aviation historian Vladimir Kotelnikov perished on 8 August 2022, the book is most certainly a reprint of his one-volume history of Lend-lease aircraft in USSR.

I am certainly saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Kotelnikov.

The publication of his 2017 book Lend-Lease and Soviet Aviation in the Second World War by Helion was a revelation to me. I was fascinated and enlightened by every page and photo. It was certainly the best aviation history that I read that year.

I hope that Vladimir Kotelnikov's publications continue to find new readers who will appreciate his superb research & writing.
