Ltn. Alfred Wehmeyer and his Bf-110 in Africa

Hello Folks!
I'm looking for any details which confirm that Ltn. Alfred Wehmeyer was flying Bf-110E-2 3U+FR (werk nummer????) during the african campaign and who was his gunner at this time. Moreover, there are no any archive photo of this machine. Any help will be appreciated.

Kind regards,

The difficulty you will have is that without a logbook or war diary, to say that each time he flew 3U+FR is hard. His BF on 19 Feb 42 was Ogefr Wueste and when killed in 3U+HR is was Uffz Karl-Heinrich Biwer

I wish my old friend Helmut Zittier was still around, he flew extensively with Wehmeyer in Africa.

3U+FR was lost on 14.5.1941 as W.Nr. 3188 (photo exists:https://www.worldwarphotos.info/gall...-3u-fr-7zg-26/)
3U+FR was lost on 10.2.1942 as W.Nr. 2329
Possibly other +FR

Re: Ltn. Alfred Wehmeyer and his Bf-110 in Africa

Wehmeyer was shot down first with 8./ZG 26 on 19 Feb 41 not 1942 (my mistake) so he would have been flying 3U+?S. All I have is Bf 110 E-1 Wk Nr 3886
