DORNIER DO 24 UNITS by Peter de Jong
Good afternoon,
I finished reading "Dornier Do 24 Units" by Peter de Jong. It's my second book by this author and I liked it very much. I didn't know that the service of the Dutch Do 24's was so action-packed. One pilot, named Bastiaan Sjerp, even sank a destroyer. The airframe he used, X-32, also rescued a total of 138 men from three stricken ships. Does anybody know if Bastiaan Sjerp was the pilot of X-32 on any of these occasions, too ? Cheers, Michael
