Ju88 involment day 21-02-1944

354th Fighter Group 353rd Fighter Squadron fought that day. A pilot was killed, (Billy B Bronston Pilot KIA P-51 43-12372) last seen chasing a Ju88. 6./JG1 was involved.

What Ju88 unit was there and did they claim a P-51, or was this one intercepted by 1 engine fighters a bit later?

One other P-51 lost was by Heinz Bar 43-12161 FT-D 1st Lt John D Mattie POW.
