Regarding the P-38:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200074044577 Apparently F-5E, T9+MK, which according to the book "On Special Missions" by Smith/Creek and Petrick, p.110, was found at Schwangau in May 1945. A picture showing a GI standing on the tail boom of the aircraft in the same nose down position as on these photos are published on that page.
