Oskar Romm victories for 05Feb44

Oskar Romm and Ofw Gunther Josten have Bostons that they shot down on 05Feb44 from the 57 BAP. Can anyone tell me what the vm. in front of the Boston III means?

Hi Nokose,

I would think vm is an abbreviation for vermutlich, which would mean possibly or probably Bostons

Cheers

The Lt. Rud that flew one of the Bostons was Nikolai Mikailovich Rud a Hero of the Soviet Union. This was his 4th time being shot down. If your interested in reading the Russia side of this dogfight. Put in www.allaces.ru into a translator and read the episode for this date. The site isn't always correct or update as it claims but this fight was easy to determine on this one.
