21 September 1943 RAF Mustangs over Holland
I have a little "problem" - on 21 Sep 43 four Mustangs of the RAF carried out a sweep over Holland. In combat with two Me 109's none of the parties involved scored a victory, but on the return route a Me 109 of 5./JG 3 made a crash landing at Halfweg (west of Amsterdam). The pilot, Uffz Rudolf Scheibe, was injured and taken to hospital. Do you know the RAF pilots involved/unit/ combat report/ are they still alive/ can I contact them etc....???? Hope you can help me.
