Re: Unknown aircraft type

Possibly an Ago 192, but I'm not certain.

Re: Unknown aircraft type

Graham Boak is correct. It is a little known Ao 192, probably an Ao 192 C. This subtype was produced in small numbers by AGO Flugzeugwerke GmbH early in the war serving as a light reconnaissance aircraft and also as a trainer. It normally carried up to 8 persons including the pilot and radio operator.

Re: Unknown aircraft type

Ago 192, look at this picture and compare the windows and especially the inward retracting main landing gear.

Re: Unknown aircraft type

Nowarraa's "Die Deutsche Luftrustung..." lists two versions, the Ao 192A and Ao 192B, the later with shorter fuselage and only three windows in cabin. The Ago 192 is not mentioned in the "Handbuch der Luftfahrt 1939" but is covered in Scneider's "Flguzeug Typenbuch" 5 Aufl, 1944.

Harold identifies a C version - can anyone add anything on how it differs from the A and B?

In archives I've located "angebot" (an offer) for the Ao 192 B and E versions which appears to differ in the number of passengers carried (6 passengers respective 4 passengers). The aircraft was priced at RM 82.100 in 1938.
