P2948 came to grief on Dec 8th 1940 with 55 OTU at Moreton-in-Marsh according to this web site:

Hi Jon

I hope to get to PRO next week - if so, I will copy 238 Squadron's ORB for July 1940 it the hope that something tangible may come to light. Perhaps it will give me a reminder as to where I made note of his possible bale out on 21 July.
