Hi Andy,
Many thanks for your reply. It would appear that Bf-109G-1 was in short supply with 12./JG 2, while there was also 11.(Hoechen)/JG 2 in existence equipped with the above high-altitude fighters roughly in the same time-frame. Could this be case of the emblem/unit misidentification? Best regards, Sidney
