Re: Gladiator N5857
Hello Andy,
If you look at my site at http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/gladiator_raf_80.htm you can start this aircraft's movements through various units. F/Sgt Dunwoodie (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/commo..._dunwoodie.htm) of 94 Sq. claimed a Bf110 with this aircraft on 17/5-41. It was damaged in combat while servicing with 3 RAAF Sq. on 25/01-41 (see http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/commo..._rawlinson.htm). Perhaps Alex Crawford could add something more on this aircraft? Best wishes/Håkan

Re: Gladiator N5857
Thanks Håkan
I have followed the path from 80 Sqn through to 127 Sqn and that I understand. What is not clear is what happened after N5857 left 127Sqn. Where did it go. I thougt that all the aircraft and pesonel from 127 Sqn and X Flight merged to reform 261Sqn. Andy |

Re: Gladiator N5857
Hello,
According to Air Britain's "Royal Air Force Aircraft L1000-N9999" it went to Iraq Conversion Flight. Then to Shaiban/Abadan/Iraqi AF (01/03/44) Best wishes/Håkan
