Re: 1/Ltn. Edward Shantz, 358FG 14. Okt. 1944

Good evening, Hans, and a happy new year !

1st Lt. Edward S. Shantz, AAF-s/n 766728 is still MIA and listed by date of loss as 15 October 1945 (One year and one day after he disappeared).

Since Lt. Wilton G. Erickson (real loss-date 1 December 1943)
2nd Lt. Walter W. Pogue (real loss-date 13 April 1944)
1st Lt. James O. Baxter (real loss-date 24 December 1944)
and 1st Lt. Roger T. Lane (real loss-date 24 December 1944)
had in the meantime been stricken off the Wall of Missing, I strongly believe, that Edward Shantz is still on the Wall.

Best regards,

Horst Weber
