OK see the links in the "Sticky" section above the first AD6952 looks to me to be off the West coast of Iceland.
Is that somewhere that you expected ?  Well it was a Canadian Squadron On the night of the 19th March flying from their Devonshire Base S/L Williams and F/O Kirkpatrick downed an He177 it was the Sqdns 16th victory. In May, on the 14th P/O McConnell and F/O Kazakoff in a Beaufighter IIF engaged two raiders near the Channel Islands. The first an He177 disappeared during the chase and was thought to have dived into the sea. The second was a Ju88 this eventually exploded as it dropped towards the sea. The following night the same crew downed another He177 that exploded in mid air the Sqdn tally was now 27 kills. Hope this helps Alex Last edited by Alex Smart; 11th February 2008 at 22:08.
