Re: Help with RAF claims MTOfive days in May 43
Logbook saysd Beau 5170. Armed recco. Do 24 off Italy; set F boat on fire.
Next day they got half a Ju 52 In his letter, all he says is the Do 24 came down in the Bay of Naples. The German loss report says NW Cap Spartimento For 16 May, he says 4 of them got 2 Ju 52s (III/TG 1) On 22 May, they intercepted a Do 26 (?) but I have asked him if it could have been a Me 323. Trouble is all he can remember is being bounced by II/JG 27 and being shot down (with 2 others) and getting a 109 probable |
