Re: JG1 Hptm Hackbarth Bodenplatte

Maybe you should buy our book. "Bodenplatte, The Luftwaffe Last Hope". You will find everything there is to know about Hptm. Hackbarth and Ofhr. Krebs. By the way, Hptm. Hackbarth is not missing but buried at Lommel, Krebs is still listed as MIA.

Cheers,

John

Re: JG1 Hptm Hackbarth Bodenplatte

Hi Rémi,
according to the excellent "Bodenplatte"-book from J. Manrho and R. Pütz Hackbarth was killed near Gent station (Fw 190 A-9, 980 166, weiße 23).

Ofhr. Hilmar Kreb of 7./JG 1 is still listed as MIA in the Gent area. Fw 190 A-8, 960 659, gelbe 4).

Regards,

Heuser

Hello ,

It seems that Hackbarth was shot down by F/S Stanowski Josef from N°317 Squadron.

Re: JG1 Hptm Hackbarth Bodenplatte

RT,

It's Hptm. Georg Hackbarth of Stab I./JG 1 and Ofhr. Hilmar Kreb of 7./JG 1. Hptm. Hackbarth was Ia of I./JG 1 and acting Kommandeur after Hptm. Ehlers did not return on Dec. 27th.

Cheers,

John.
