Hi guys.
Without a shadow of doubt this is Herdla. Take a look at this photo which shows the Gefechtstand of 3./JG 77 at Herdla in 1941 in more detail. This is the same building which can be seen in the upper left side of the new photo. ![]() Note the building to the extreme left in the photo above - it was a moveable small hangar made to resemble a barn, except that barns in that construction style did not exist in Norway! The dark camouflage of the Emils are noteworthy, this was a feature of many of these aircraft. Regards, Kjetil |
