Re: Sunderland shot down on 15th February 1944

The aircraft that Bunce was flying was Sunderland ML740 (M/461) of 461 squadron, but that was shotdown on 23 March 1944.

Five crew were killed and the other seven rescued.

There is a picture od the surviving crew being rescued a couple of days later:
