Re: Junkers Ju88H-1
Nick, Andy...
Judging from the fuselage code, this is an 8.Staffel machine. I know Fernaufklärungsgruppe 123 used these aircraft, in which case the parent Geschwader code would be '4U'. Would this be the only unit operating the Ju88H-1... ? Thanks again to you both for your assitance. Regards |

Re: Junkers Ju88H-1
I haven't reviewed the "Jet and Prop" magazines BUT:
Flugzeug magazine issues 90-1 page 42 has a multi-page article on this “Die Lange Ju 88H” and page 46 has a tabulated summary of all variants. The article is repeated in english as well. Flugzeug magazine issue 90-2 continues the story on page 57. Camouflage appears to be conventional 70/71/65 "bomber" style. Units that used then seem to be 3.(F)/123 and KG 101 as Misteln. I hope this helps. DS |
