NAGr.12 :: 08/08/1944 :: losses

I didn't even realize my question is related to an event occurred on the same date some years ago.
W/O Potvin of No 73 Sqn RAF claimed two Bf 109s shot down in quick succession while flying patrol at 23000 ft over Vis Island 1944. Both claims were certified. I've seen a report from LRDG that two enemy aircraft were shot down by Allied aircraft and crashed on Brac Island and Hvar Island each and I am not sure if this was a source of confirmation.
According to ULTRA, 2./NAGr.12 lost one G-8 while on recce Termoli - Gargano - Pescara and August summary gives only one loss owing to an enemy action (2.Staffel) while Stab didn't suffer any losses (M.Holm gives one loss owing to other causes). So the question is, one or two Bf 109s lost, and I would appreciate if somebody knows the name of the pilot? Confirmed loss was W.Nr.200302. Thank you very much.

Your enquiry is about a period I have not yet tackled in the HW5 series Ultra files but NAG 12's losses, strengths and deliveries of new machines are usually reported in detail there.

Re: NAGr.12 :: 08/08/1944 :: losses

Hello Nick.
I've finally managed to go through all of HW5 series for 1944, it took me a few years and I've been taking out any info on LW and Allied ops over Yugoslavia.
The volume of decrypted traffic suddenly drops from June '44 onwards, only to pick up for one month period (late October, early November '44 with a pullout from Greece).
Although ops reports of NAGr.12 (Stab and 2. Staffel) persist, there are no detailed loss reports and other snippets.
With regard to a loss I ask about, it is mentioned in ops summary for this day - 2nd rotte, task from 15.00 to 15.45, recce of Italian coast, set upon by Allied fighters and had to break off the task [HW5/557/T.272/60/XL5557] - and it is mentioned in strength return for this date, the first detailed one for the month of August, that one of the G-8s didn't return from ops against enemy, W.Nr. already mentioned. [HW5/561/R.276(B)/1]. Hopefully, somebody might clarify this for me one day.
Cheers!
