Ah, the best photo I have yet seen of the circular compass access hatch as fitted on the Bf 109T.

It is almost certainly Ranwing's Bf 109T with Ranwig in front (sure looks like him), but the Werkenummer of his plane I don't know at the moment.

W.Nr. 6363 was an E-7 lost on 29th November 1941 off Hitra with Uffz. Erich Kersten kiled. This machine was also marked "White 10" and it seems to be some confusion in books as to what version Ranwig's "White 10" really was. The Bf 109T "White 10" is depcited many times in e.g. Marshall's books on the T, and is undoubtedly a Bf 109T, as this photo now also confirms 100 %, but the aircraft lost (6363) is also often described as Ranwings perosnal plane. However, if the Werknummer is correct this cannot be so, or it must be his Bf 109E amrked similarily.

To my knowledge previous photos of "White 10" does not show the port side and this hatch, but now we have absolute proof that "White 10" is a Bf 109T!

Regards,

Kjetil
