I had the confirmation this past week from Wehrmacht-awards.com site. Very sad news indeed. May he rest in peace.

Guys:
Going Slightly OT on Herr Dickfeld; My understanding was that he wrote rather extensively on his very long & interesting life AFTER the war...he alluded to such stuff in his 'Footsteps of the Hunter'-he rendered assistance to a badly wounded French Soldier whom he said he would encounter again after the war but did not elaborate; however it appears only 'Footsteps..' was translated into English; Anybody know how many books he has written & what they were about? TiA nickm |

Four books, all published by ALF Air Verlag.
