From “The Blitz, Then and Now”, Volume 2 can be gleaned that:
On the night of 1/2 April 1941, III./KG 1 raided Birmingham and suffered only one loss: 8./KG 1 lost Ju 88 A-5 (V4+BS, WNr. 6245) – flew into a hill in bad weather and crashed at Brown Clee Hill, Shropshire, crew killed. This apparently was the only part of KG 1 involved in raids that night. I can find no other details. DGS
