Re: LW Position Codes - HELP!
Andy:
The site you want is here: http://www.lesbutler.ip3.co.uk/jg26/gradnetz.htm System used varied by period during the war though - do you have a date and a full reference? Might be able to help... Cheers, Mark |

You should also go to Michael's excellent site here:
http://www.gyges.dk/reporting_grids.htm and get his amazing LUMA resources! |

Re: LW Position Codes - HELP!
Andy,
Please try this link which may also help:- http://www.stormbirds.com/eagles/res.../gradnetz.html This is part of Andreas Brekken's "Eagles over Norway" site hosted on Stormbirds. I do remember another page, again one of Andreas', that you could enter the planquadrat reference and the dite would hand you off to a map - I, regretably, no longer have that very useful link.

That's a good deal earlier than I'm used to - think this one may be beyond me, never heard of grid squares ordered in that way. ![]() |

Re: LW Position Codes - HELP!
Hi
The address to my tool is: http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/map_geo_location_gradnetz.asp Will update it to asp.net shortly, and add Jägermeldenetz Andy - in order to assist you further it would be nice if you could write out the entire context in which your references were found. Regards, Andreas B

Re: LW Position Codes - HELP!
Andreas,
Many thanks for the link. I remember using this very useful tool to plot items onto a map some years ago. Then lost the link.
