Re: 8th May 1945 - claims of Soviet fighter

Best start is to contact magazine and the author. Maybe he had something not available to others.

Cheers

Re: 8th May 1945 - claims of Soviet fighter

I do it :-))

But I need help from someone, who interested in Soviets pilot and have claim of this pilot or help me with some link or book , if there is info about this situation - Im looking for info, that this pilot fought with bigger group of german Ju 87 and FW 190 or have shot down then in other fight.

In my opinion is, that Rudels group of aircraft (Kitzingen airfield) and 2 Ju 87 in Eschwege airfield) are from the same unit, this pilot divided them into 2 groups .

Re: 8th May 1945 - claims of Soviet fighter

This sortie occured between 12.35-13.20 (Moscow time). Novoselov claimed this two planes and Mladshiy Leitenant Rogudeev (also 115 GIAP) claimed 1 Ju-88 west of Podmokly.
It seems to me that they ran through a mixed formation or some individual planes trying to escape to American troops zone.
