I'm not familiar with the site, John, but the events you described have happened to many other web sites over the past year and a half or so. For some, visitations have declined by 60% to 70%. For others who attempted to set up a forum it was the disappointment of not being able to attract participants. Perhaps the novelty of the "interest" or "hobby" forum has worn off since the heydays of 2000-07 and, as you noted, this is a natural progression. But it does make one wonder whether this is a pervasive loss of interest or whether individuals have just moved on to other things.
