From what I see from the photo's it looks like it could be one of the following aircraft.

Spitfire Mk.VIII
JF809 - 607 Sqn SoC 31.5.45
JF819 - ADU - Ran out of fuel and crash landed Pantellaria 17.12.43
JF829 - 81 - Abandoned on T/O Ratmalana.
JF839 - 67 - Amarda Road stalled on landing 9.3.44
JF849 - 155 - SoC 13.9.45
JF869 - RAAF
JF879 - 601 - Flew into mountain on air test near Monte Virgine 30.3.44
JF889 - 81 - SoC 13.12.44
JF899 - 253 - SoC 11.4.46

According to "85 Years of the SAAF" Lt. C. C. Geldard is linked as pilot of JF879.
CWGC has Lt. C. C. Geldard as date of death 30/3/1944 with 601 Sqn, he was from Carolina, Transvaal, SA.

Good luck
Alex
Thanks for your help. As I stated I identified aircraft and pilot. As soon possibile I'll post a report with informations I find. In this discussion I need to identify the unknow (for me) aircraft fragments I posted. Thanks.
