Just a friendly note to say that this thread probably ought to be over in the Allied Air Forces section of the forum. I last met Geoffrey Wellum in June 1974....and from his photographs he looks no different today! By coincidence, it turns out that his grand-daughter is the girlfriend (I think she still is!) of my step-daughters father. Small world. When I met her she volunteered that grandad was a Battle of Britain pilot. Nearly fell off my chair when she told me who! It would be good to meet him again. Maybe I should drop in.
