Information on Leutnant Matthias Giglberger

Hi,

Could anyone provide details over the unit and loss of Leutnant Matthias Giglberger.

He was killed on the 23.12.1944 on the Western Front.

He was a pilot in a fighter squadron.

He is buried in Tassling.

The only thing that I know about this fellow is that he claimed a P-47 on 21 October 1944 as his only victory that I am aware of while serving with 11./JG 2. Unfortunately my loss list files for 23 December 1944 are very sparse and considering that 135 Luftwaffe fighters were shot down that day his loss unfortunately is not included. Hopefully, someone with a complete JG 2 loss list can add further details of his demise.
