Steve: I/KG 1 became III/KG 40 end of March 41 when it moved from Amiens Glissy to Brest. First casualty was on 6 Apr 41 when Hptm Bernhard Stärcke plus one from 9/KG 40 was wounded by friendly Flak. Their losses were V4+GL, V4+HH, V4+CH, V4+FH, V4+EL, V4+JL, V4+DK, V4+GK, V4+BH, V4+IH and trhe first recorded used of F8 was not until 9 Aug 41

I have all the losses you give, was looking for any scraps regarding V4+AK W.Nr 4320 service, or crews that may have used this a/c? Best regs, Steve. |
