Steinhoff only had a single vic during the BoB, although his total by the time JG 52 left that theater of ops was 5. His first 4 vics were: 2 with 10.(N)/JG 26 on 18-Dec-39 and 2 with 11.(N)/JG 2 on 10-May-40. JG 52 suffered pretty losses in the BoB and were only in theater for about 6 weeks(?). The claims lists by Tony Wood (again see the FAQs thread above with links to his files) and the Prien group (Jagdfliegerverbande Vol. 4, I & II) are essential to make any kind of factual statement for this period (and along with Wood's files, I have created my own starting with his work and adding in Prien and others - file available at same link).
