For what it's worth I tend to agree with Andreas. It's about time we stopped glorification of aces - these were mainly the 'lucky' guys who survived. Sometimes this glorification has verged on the current tacky celebrity cult that we read about or see on TV every day. They're not real people, in my humble opinion. I am more interested in the ordinary guy who 'did his bit' albeit in the air as aircrew. Others write about Tommy Atkins or Jack Tar but we have chosen P/O Prune. Let's keep it that way!
