1) P/O Richard Robert Reed (172568) was killed on 23rd May 1944 aged 31.

2) The case Billings v. Reed. Believed to be Richard Robert Reed (111113) went back to Nottingham Court and the defence had admitted negligence and this was reported in "The Times Thursday October 12 1944 (the Court of Appeal Law Report being dated "Oct. 11"). Was Reed there in person?

(i) if Reed had already died previously 23rd May 1944, the case and the challenge to the payment of compensation would have to be continued by his Executors or employers, surely not? There is no reference to the case being continued by Reed's Executor's or employer.
