Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
Jarek/Ed
Many thanks. Yes - the part was recovered recently from the Blackbrook site and is, I understand, from a Ju88A-4 Werke Nr. 140099 coded 4D + FP. I will post photos of a couple of other bits we are trying to identify. Nick |

Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
Not seen such instruction placard before (that I remember). BTW the 140099 dates from about June 1942, new-(parts) made in April/May 42, so it might have had more replacement/re-cycled parts fitted, but no crash over 10% recorded.

If plane is elevated (Tail on stand) and engine not supported, do not remove the cap.

Thanks for the translation. Does anyone know where this warning would have been located ?

Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
This one is obviously a component data plate but again if anyone is able to provide identification/more information I would be most grateful.

Re: Ju88 Werke Nr. 140099 Data Plate
Hello Yeomans,
If the Hersteller code of the last photo you posted is as I believe, “jfw,“ then it would be: Otto Bark, Motoren/Wasserpumpe für Jumo 211 (1945), Dresden, Tharandterstr. 35 (S). Steve Sheflin |

Thanks to Yeomans I'm at this respectable forum
![]() And of course with ask due to this aircraft. Maybe someone could help with any photo documentation about Ju 88's from the same period of time and from the same KG 30 unit? |
