Indian Bf109 , Any news ?

Some time ago If I remember correctly it was reported that the aircraft had mysteriously disappeared from India. It now is in England, and an engine has been found to be fitted to the a/c in time to come. When pictures of the find in India were published the a/c was intact , so what became of the original engine ? Also recent pictures show the a/c without wings, what became of them ?

The Iron Cross article goes into some detail & there will be a follow up by me in the next edition (as I contacted the German pilot some years ago). Apparently Flypast did a similar article but by a different author last month

Thanks guys for your replies. I think it is sad that this particular a/c is being "updated" as I feel that it should have been kept as it was when found in India, is in original condition that had aged.
