Re: Loss JU88 C6 24/12/42

Good news Chris!

Do we know the names of the airmen?

Let's hope that somewhere he or we can find such a report (Gendarmerie) and maybe the names of those invovled....and yes, the KTB of KG 40 would be wonderful to read likewise, if you could find it.

Re: Loss JU88 C6 24/12/42

Of the 3 that suffered damage in accidents/crashed, no names are recorded by the Germans as nobody was injured albeit the pilot of the one Gilles is interested in did suffer minor injuries when he came down near Langon (and were not reported it would seem). Only Uffz Heinz Hommel is known and he was the only one that landed back at Cognac without incident. Note the crash was evening of 23 December not night of 24-25 December

with the pieces of the puzzle that you are bringing, gentlemen, the picture is slowly getting clearer.

The last piece of the puzzle will a part of the aircraft with the Wnr.
Leave me some time for finding it and keep fingers crossed.

Thanks for your inputs, and take care of you.

Cheers / salut amical.

Gilles
