Re: Help needed with ID Luftwaffe fighter - Pommern 1945.

Is not this item.
Exhaust manifold mounting ring is made of steel. Rather it can not be of aluminum because of the high temperatures.

No Kris, it´s not the "Werknummer"!

Pictures 236-239 might be the fabric bulkhead located aft in the fuselage.

Re: Help needed with ID Luftwaffe fighter - Pommern 1945.

In my opinion there are lots of distinguishing parts on the FW-190 aircraft and BWM-801 and we cannot seem to view any among these parts.

Photo #47 is a strong mount point, but I don't recall seeing anything like that on the main spar, nor on the engine mounting parts.

Photo #77 appears to be steel riveted to aluminum, and I cannot recall any member like this on the FW.

Photos #81-84 seems to be aluminum tubing with a burlap type fabric inside? Never seen anything like that.

Photos #91-93 seem like an engine part, but so far we cannot match it on the BWM-801.

Photos #116-118 would appear to be a portal for some type of cable, tubing, etc. to pass thru, but again, we cannot seem to identify this for the FW-190.

Photos #145-147, 153-155 appear to be consistent with the oval FW-190 cover plates, but not with having steel screws.

Photos #191-192 an indicator scale, which doesn't look like the only one I know of on the FW, the flap indicator.

Photos 29-31 are similar to some of the internal gearing on the BWM-801. I don't have a detailed enough drawing to identify.

You would think at least one of the engine panel latches would have survived, or part of an engine cylinder, or the any part of the distinctive landing gear.

Here is one item that could be a match:
Photos 113-114 are similar to the left side of the instrument panel on
http://www.aviatroglo.fr/PLANCHE-DE-...ml?artpage=4-5
ref. part: 190.942.42, but the screw holes do not match.

I find this intriguing but so far nothing conclusive that it is an FW-190.

Tony

Hi Tony

photos #81-84 , The burlap type fabric could be tension belts for the inner fuel tanks.

# 191-192 is a part from FuG16, the MHz.scale.

But I also miss any typical Fw190 parts!
