Plane (airunit) can not be determined. For me it is the only known P-51 crash in this area.
The next P-51 crash is near Müncheberg (Lt.Broadwater). He was buried in Werder 4km SE Müncheberg.
I think that Ellison was able to leave his plane. Probably he was immediately found, but could not be assigned to the fighter crash. The death places of many Airmen were spread over the large area of Eberswalde.

Area Eichswerder, Eberswalde, says J-Report # 2086 to this particular loss.
In those days, when a large number of a/c came down, it was normal, that dead crew-members of various a/c were buried at a single grave-location which had space to contain them. The same happened at Oberkail, Germany at August 15th, 1944, when 9 B-17 were shot down by German fighters. The killed crew-members of three B-17 were buried in Oberkail local cemetary.
